Battery charging question.

Hi guys hope you're well. Quick question for you, I need to charge the escort battery as its flat. I've taken it off the car, but do I need to remove the cell caps before charging or not?

has it got a very hole or tube on one side of the battery? is so no just bung it on if not i always crack the caps undo them and i leave them in the holes loose to stop the acid coming out if anything happens

No there's no hole or tube. I'll just open the caps slightly like you say. Cheers mate.

no worrys mate heard of batterys splitting or leaking before when not been opened

and switch off at the mains before disconnecting the leads

good point dont want any sparks if theres fumes or vapours comming offf battery
