Jiffer Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Where would you buy 7/16 wheel studs and nuts, there for a set of laser alloys on a mk1 cortina. I was thinking 47mm long but unsure of the taper for the laser alloys, I won't use midland wheels after buying a new set of nuts only to have them all ring out, my fault for not sending them back but just couldn't be bothered with the hassle, cheers.
rallyesport04 Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 burton speedshack rallydesign etc lazer wheels need the wheel nuts with the large taper washer on them i think these are only available in metric m12 tho if there rs wheels you need the wheel nuts with the flat washer available in imperial an metric
iandq Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 hi mate, if you are changing the studs anyway, it's just as easy to fit the m12 studs and then use the correct ford nuts ( often known as ghia nuts ) the only problem you may have is to enlarge the hole in the hub slightly, this can be done by hand with a hand reamer of the correct size in a tap wrench, all available reasonably cheaply on ebay. cheers, ian.
puddy Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Got my set on the bay, something like these.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WHEEL-NUTS-FO ... 1c3054eb4d Although i got free p&p on mine. puddy
