escortmad79 Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 Turquoise & white Mk2 Zodiac reg: 248 BUU was stolen from a Bus layby on London Road near to Woodfield Rd, Hadleigh, Essex after experiencing mechanical issues. The owner went to get help and found the car had gone when he returned! Local Police/DVLA/Tow companies have been checked. The owner had only very recently purchased the car so the photo is from that advert.
Admin Vista Posted April 11, 2013 Admin Report Posted April 11, 2013 What a shame, it looks lovely too

escortmad79 Posted April 11, 2013 Author Report Posted April 11, 2013 Mk2 Zodiac 248BUU has been RECOVERED from the same area of Hadleigh it went "missing" from
escortmad79 Posted April 11, 2013 Author Report Posted April 11, 2013 Recovered following info posted on my Retards Club group
escortmad79 Posted April 11, 2013 Author Report Posted April 11, 2013 Not 100% sure in all honesty. Guy ran it out of fuel so left it in a layby. When he returned it wasn't there. Don't know if he's gone to the wrong bus stop or whether it has been nicked by opportunists who discovered it was on empty & left it in another bus stop further down the road. Someone on my Retards Club group reported seeing it parked in a layby on London Road, Hadleigh (The street the owner left it on!) when he went to work this morning & drove past it again on his way home at 4:35 after the reports had been posted around the internet. Phone call to Essex police & the car was recovered this evening. Reports from someone else who contacted the police is there's minor damage to it
escortmad79 Posted April 12, 2013 Author Report Posted April 12, 2013 OK, here's what happened: Having run out of fuel, a friendly policeman pushed him into a bus layby. When he came back to collect it, the car had gone. The owner rang the police and local authorities to try and find his car without success, although apparently another unfriendly policeman/parking attendant got it removed, even though it apparently could have just as easily been pushed into a side road with free parking. Now he's got to collect it from the pound
Admin Vista Posted April 12, 2013 Admin Report Posted April 12, 2013 So a recovery bill to be expected? Still, at least that's a happier ending than it disappearing altogether.
v8 pop Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 So a recovery bill to be expected? Still, at least that's a happier ending than it disappearing altogether. Good news and work by all ,its reassuring that people have looked and helped to try and find it ,must be a real nasty feeling finding your car not parked where its been left, too much of it going on !
mk2 mike Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 I thought he'd already checked to see if it had been towed? Anyway, glad to see he's got/getting it back.
