So anyone got one for sale? Im fine in the Garage TBH!!!!! But dont tell her i said that.LOL 1

The first copy of Fast Ford I ever had January 1994 (my Nan bought it for me and yeah I still have it) had on the letters page a MKII 1300 Sport owner asking how rare his car was as he hadn't seen another one and couldn't find one listed for sale anywhere. I know the 1300 is rarer than the 1600. My theory is that as the Sports were standard production models and not RS cars when they became cheap to buy these were the first models to get sacrificed for rallying. If you look through classified ads in old Ford magazines from the nineties or noughties plenty of MKII's of all main production models (including RS2000/Mexico) available but the Sport numbers are low (of course if you look through the classified ads in any magazine in the tens there are hardly any MKII's listed). The Sport was apparently a good seller and was available right through production from January 1975 to August 1980.
Top Ghia Posted April 30, 2013 Author Report Posted April 30, 2013 I have noticed in the last couple of years how ads for Escorts have declined even in CF magazine. I have some old copies with a page or more of Escorts for sale now theres just 3 or 4 cars per issue.

I spoke with the farmer today regarding a unit and its not good news as he has no spare units at the moment Ile have to push for a garage at the back of my other house and then the fun will start I'm going to the rs Cumbria show in one of my cortinas on the 10th so I will ask the escort boys if they know of anything going for you Take care Gary

Two birds with one stone and all that. That reminds me havent told the missus yet.
