Muzzman Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 So i've booked the car in to a garage to get the brakes looked at, fuel rubber thingy checked, rev counter looked at to see why it doesn't work and a service. I'm thinking that i'm going to be bankrupt if i take it to a garage everytime something goes wrong That's apparently the beauty of these cars that they're easy to work on, my total toolbox adds up than adjustable spanner that has served me well for years. What would a good starter kit be Trolley Jack Halford professional tools - which ones? Hayes manual Plasters Anything else you'd recommend?

mk2 mike Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 I'd add the Ashtons number to your 'tool kit' for those times you get stuck! Do you know your local garage well? I'd worry about taking my osf (or any car) to a unknown garage. Think ferris bueller's day off lol 1

skeeter Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 I had the same idea as you. I went out and bought the 170 piece Halfords Professional set, also a multi meter and a good electrical screwdriver. Also a wire crimping kit and a good set of screw drivers. So far, haven't wanted for a tool. Wanted for experience, skill knowledge......... but hey! Next on my list, trolley jack and axel stands/ramps. S
