warrenk Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 Hi gents, attached is some pics of my Venetian Red 1980 Escort 1600 Sport with 113k km on the clock.. I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle, 2nd owner only had the car for a year and had to let it go due to health complications. The car has apparently had the seat covers on from day 1, I only lifted the drivers side to check the condition of the seat, the car has the chocolate brown interior.. I fitted the wheels and lowered the car, still have or 2 small things I want to sort out. Will post the pics as I go along, hope you guys like it.. 1
Top Ghia Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 Looks nice that, a lot of SA sport are finding there way back to UK now.
XjamesX Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 looks the nuts Also the rear louvre is awesome Get some pic's up of the interior
warrenk Posted July 21, 2013 Author Report Posted July 21, 2013 Thanks for the comments gents.. Since the 1st post I have replaced the original tubular exhaust manifold and exhaust system, changed all the rear bushes to polyurethane ones, fitted thicker u-bolts and removed the seat covers and gave everything a good clean. While I was at it I fitted my 8J Tom's Racing Igetta's.. Hope you guys like the photos..
AndyOldskoolfan Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 Nice Sport mate, but l would lose the Louvre thing and paint the spoiler to match.
5tox Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 I reckon the contrast of red vs black looks cool
warrenk Posted September 6, 2013 Author Report Posted September 6, 2013 Thanks guys, I'll leave this car as is, but on my other mk2 i'm painting the front spoiler. Want to keep this one stock as they came out this side.. bar the wheels and lowering. I put my Mk1 GT's wheels on just to see what they look like, I think they suit the car well, just hope they look this good on the GT once its done. 1
gwtaylor22 Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 I say kep the rear luvers I think the look good And do does the rest of the car
XjamesX Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 that last photo you posted is fantastic
warrenk Posted September 25, 2013 Author Report Posted September 25, 2013 Thanks gents, I pulled the car out of the garage for the 1st time in about 2weeks and took it for a drive. I just love having that stupid grin on my face whilst driving it, haha 2
quickrack Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 Yeah take off lourves, and paint the spoiler, and fit 4 cibies, and some superlites eh?? Its deadly lookin mate
warrenk Posted August 12, 2014 Author Report Posted August 12, 2014 Thanks bud, Regarding changing thing on this car.. You don't find the Sport's in this condition. I'd rather keep it the way it is with the set of wheels and lowered suspension. This car is currently fitted with 13" 7J Superlites, and the other Mk2 I have mentioned previously is wearing the Tom's wheels now and a painted front spoiler. Will post a pic up soon
windymiller Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 What are those spats on the rears of all the arches? Look like mini mudflaps?
warrenk Posted August 19, 2014 Author Report Posted August 19, 2014 That's the original mudflaps bud. Thought the UK cars had them as well?
