Looks well made, if a little bit heavy. The only possible issue I could see is if the mountings for the TCA's and the rack aren't spot on you might have slight geometry issues. But it does look quite good.

Having said that, you don't need an RS sump, it just makes it a bit easier to fit it all in. In the past I've used a tin sump off a Sierra, and a bit of gentle 'massaging'.

I saw that product discussed elsewhere and as I recall, feedback was not positive. Though I can't remember exactly what was said. I'll see if I can find the discussion again and post a link up to it.

Does look like a smart piece of kit though!

I kind of wonder how much strength has gone out of it given that it no longer flows almost straight across, instead having a great big step forward welded in perpendicular to the original cross piece.

just cut and reweld your own x/member it takes an hour to cut and weld  done mine and about 20 others years ago mines still good

i was a bit worried about how much to chop out and re-weld and if it would compromise strength

do you literally just cut off the lip and re-weld it?

cheaper and better if you use your old crossmember.roughly cut an inch out of the nearest part to the tunnel  and slide a box section in there and weld it back up.thats what i did with my world cup x member and use a standard cossy sump.simple.

Cheers for the advice guys, i actually have a nice thick piece of box section that will do the trick just fine
