I have tested my wipers as the car in not on the road yet,but they do not go back to position. I think it could be the washer pump unit. Has anyone got an idea of what causes this problem

is it wired correctly? you need two lives, one from the ignition switch, and one from the wiper switch, what makes you think it's to do with the washers? can you give any more info?

cheers, ian.

i had he issue where it would stop where ever they where when i turned them off, spent ages trying to get my head around the wiring then they just started working again, the foot pump is needed for them to park correctly, only thing after i spent ages testing stuff was the foot pump seems to work right but wipers dont work when pressed but as they parked ok again i gave up as was as good a fixed haha

Mine don't go all the way back to quite the right position when i turn them off... i switch them to the intermittent position when they're still going then turn them off once they've stopped in the right place. :-)

its a mk1 RS2000 1974 on all genuine wiring, with a plug on back of washer pump and i believe wiper is 2 speed. Its just it will be a right pain if wipers dont stop in right place and i hoping to get it in for test on friday
