If I go onto view new content nothing happens?

I did that first time too ...there's a set of menus on the left that you need to tick ... tick one option and see what you get.

this has been winding me up for months!!! thought i sorted it last night...but today....no new content....again!! been messing around with options on the left and found if i click on the bottom purple highlighted block, it goes and i can view new stuff. i bet i post this and it will say "no new content!! SCOTT!!!!!! HELP!!

In the new content search options, make sure the tick is beside "forums" then lower down, another tick beside the period you want to search over. ie last 24 hours, last month, content I have not read, etc.

Oh and make sure you don't have something ticked in the bottom set of options, Just items I follow for instance.

When I click on new content it doesn't work first time then I try it again and it always works second time.

That does happen, it depends what part of the forum you're in when you first click "new content"
