New drag strip, south coast..

Rye Bay Drag Racing, Harbour Road, Rye, East Sussex.

 

£10 all day, racing every other Sunday.

Santa Pod it is not, it's a short concrete strip with little run off. Could be a cheap way to do some testing though.

Rye is about 30 or 40 minutes from J10 M20

is it 1320 ft / 1/4 mile. or shorter?

I would like it to be a full 1/4 as it would be nice to go there and practice gear shifting.

from what alex said its just under a 8th . but hopeing to make it longer for next year , plus if all goes to plan all in door to ????????? .

Indoor could happen as they are racing on what was the remains of a massive warehouse that burned down a couple of years ago. Run off looks short though !!

Gear shifting is easy to practice on the road and probably the easiest part of drag racing. For me it would be nice to practice launching.
