If you've bought a ready made kit of pipes the flares are already formed! Only if you are adding non standard calipers / cylinders

may you need to re-flare the pipe. Its not a case of 'what's best' - its a case of use the correct and appropriate flare for the piece

it is being fitted to. If you don't know that or can't work it out, I think its best you don't work on your brakes!

has above 2 types of flare for male and female fittings if you don't no then it's safer to speak to someone who does to be safe
