Cossytoy Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 I am puting a cosworth engine in my mk2 van so after the list below, i am in no rush for bits as I have some money, but not to buy it all at the same time, A baby atlas, 48.5 ich Worldcup crossmember and engine mounts A rocket prop.. type 9 to atlas Escort van front doors Escort van rear bumpers Coilovers for the front Big breaks, something like wilwoods ect Intercooler, and rad combination Thanks for your time reading this add,
Admin Vista Posted September 25, 2013 Admin Report Posted September 25, 2013 Another cossied van Be aware though that a cossie lump with grippy tyres will make fairly short work of a Type 9 gearbox, especially if/when you start to up the performance of it. The T9 was never designed to take that kind of grunt. I would add a T5 box to your list (if you don't already have one) and amend your propshaft need accordingly.

Was I told wrong, or do I need a custom one made up, Cheers agen for the info
Admin Vista Posted September 25, 2013 Admin Report Posted September 25, 2013 I know Ben Will the T9 prop fit into a T5 box? That's a good one. I didn't think so but if you've been told otherwise I'm prepared to be corrected. Can anyone else confirm for definite? I know I ended up going with a custom prop for my application, i.e. T5 to atlas Oh and van rear 1/4 bumpers http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=355879
