Hey all!
My name is shan and I'm from cornwall. I own a mk3 2.8i Capri and a 1997 Escort cabriolet. I have always loved capris since my dad first let me drive his 2.0 in a field aged 8! My capri is a little worse for wear and needs a lot of work doing to her. I also have a working Cologne and was wondering if anybody could tell me if it would be possible to fit it into my escort? As the 1.6 is a little flat for my liking

Many thanks

Shan

Welcome to OSF

We don't cater for the later escort on here but do I understand you correctly that you want to fit a 2.8i cologne lump (RWD) into a FWD mk5 (or is it 6? I lost track) escort?  I guess anything is possible with the right skills, time and money but I'm sure there's a better choice out there for your escort as that's a mammoth task you're setting yourself.

Haha thanks OSF. I went and saw my local ford specialist and his reaction was "yes it's possible but don't even f******G think about it!" Maybe the pinto is a better option! I can't find anywhere where the Slightly more modern escorts are welcomed. Even seoc wouldn't cater for my escort! best start getting my fingers dirty on kinky caprice (the capri)

Many thanks once again

I would forget the pinto too, that's also a rwd engine. Find something that already has a FWD engine and box set up so that you don't need to do major alterations to the chassis. What about a duratec engine?
