DT36 Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 I can remember my mate buying my Mother's Chevette off her and putting a 2.1 Pinto in it on 45s. He left the outside standard, but tweaked the suspension a bit. Anyway, we used to go out in that car XR3 hunting when they first came out and shattered a few rich boys egos at the time. I had a 1300 Sport with a 1600 crossflow I bought from Bracknell Autosport at the time. It would go a bit, but not enough to go hunting... Oh, and a bit of Bad Manners and The Specials was on my cassettes, always taped from Radio 1s John Peel sessions.

I remember the 80's but 90's was for me as well. 1980's My dad had 3 mk2 transits for his business . Older brother had a green mk1 escort. Brother in law had a red mk1 mexico . Had a commodore 16 which I got for Xmas !!! 1990's I had my first car which was a mk2 escort van!! Cut up the mk1 mexico!!!!! Loved going round the breakers yard next to my dads yard and rummaging for goodies. The Stone Roses!! And yes the 70's and 80's were fantastic . Got a pic of me as kid eating a ice cream in the back of my dads mk4 cortina !!! Endless sunny days......... 2
