boXXer Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 Hi, For sale I have a N/A YB Turnkey package that came from my MK2 Escort drift car which has been featured in Various magazines. The engine has just been dyno'ed by Joe Stephens @ Bluesprint Motorsport and ready to go. Only reason i am not refitting it is due to a turbo engine change for drifting. The engine is a Vulcan Engineering built 2.1 YB, with Cosworth YB crank, Steel rods, Wossner pistons, massive head porting, JUDD spec cams (touring car grind from the K-series Rover) on solid lifters, Custom Made HT Racing Slide throttle bodies which sound AWESOME. The engine went for routine refresh a couple of months ago costing £2500 plus a dyno run of £350 and has had a no expense spared rebuild making 255hp. It is run in and ready to go.New wossner pistonsNew Steel rodsNew bearings and sealsNew headgasket + engine setNew HP oil pumpNew Judd Racing spec CamsNew cambelt + tensionerIncluded in the sale are the following parts to get you going:105 Speed full stainless manifold (heatwrapped) and ceramic coated by zircotec. Modified Ford RS2000 Bellhousing so you can use a Escort cosworth starter motorBrand new Geniune ford Escort cosworth starter motor (used for approx 6 months)Retro ford spacer plateCustom Big Wing (5ltr) YB Sump to fit MK1/MK2 escort x-memberNew retro ford 5 paddle Sintered plate + Helix pressure plateUltra thin custom flywheel (just been faced)Emerald K6 ECU mapped for this engine/manifold setup by HT RacingCustom Loom + all sensorsAlloy RadiatorMSD ford CoilpackCustom HT LeadsFuel pressure regulatorall pipework for coolingIts pretty much a full package to fit to your escort and get it going. If your not sure or want to know more about the engine, please ask as i may have left something out. I have LOADS more pics of the build and extra parts included which i can email on application.I will be adding a Dyno video and power graph in the next few days when i get them. Before the new cams and extra headwork it made 230hp which you can see and hear it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRuBVqfqNpMI am after £7000 FOR THE LOTIf you were to build this from new it would Cost in excess of 15k+ to build and get it going.
mk2 mike Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 You paid £15k for 255bhp? Same thought crossed my mind :/ That said, would look great in my mk2 GLWTS
SmokeEm Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 Its what you have to pay for a reliable steel N/A cossie guys. That's why most go down the turbo route. A good Millington would cost more! 1
Mgentry90 Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Cossies do look nice in the bay no doubt! , but My nissan engine will give me 300bhp for about a a grand
Tall paul Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Nice bit of kit, good luck with the sale mate. 1
Savvi Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 This is the article that Mike did with Classicford ............ before the rebuild. Another one at Santa pod .............. seems it has plenty of power to do what he needed it to 2
theloudboy Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 This engine would be insane in a road car nime does not have as much power and I can take apart V8 M3's and RS4 audi's god only knows how fast this is, if you ask me its worth more than what mike is asking 2
boXXer Posted December 27, 2013 Author Report Posted December 27, 2013 Just shows how many 'clueless' people have jumped onto the osf scene in the last few years since the prices have gone up. Thanks for the positive comments though guys. 3
