christian Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Hi, ive always got a project or two on the go and spend most days working on them. i came across this escort and because there wasnt even a rust scab on it i decided to strip and paint it. it then sat in the corner at work covered over for 3 years. two weeks ago i pulled it out of its corner and started to put it back together and its just about ready for its mot. please give me your views on it as im still not to sure about it or what im going to do with it when its Mot,d. its a 1989 1.3 estate with 62k, 2 owners from new. Top left picture obviously 3 years ago, bottom right picture was last week. thanks
Admin Vista Posted December 31, 2013 Admin Report Posted December 31, 2013 Hi Christian and welcome to OSF. Your car looks like you've put a lot of work into it and hats off to you for making that much reassembly progress in 2 weeks. Many of us take a year to achieve that! Unfortunately we only cater for models of car in production by 1980
christian Posted December 31, 2013 Author Report Posted December 31, 2013 Absolutely no problem at all. i think im going to stick it in my barn and forget about it until my 8yr old daughter passes her driving test. and then she will probably look at it, shake her head and say "im not driving that" lol 2
mk2 mike Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 I like that but as vista said its too 'new' by 9 years. Good effort though. Top job
5tox Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 definitely keep hold of that, a future classic! ... just realised, your only down the road in p'boro
Savvi Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Nice car these are getting popular again now and looks like they will join the ranks of the earlier escort range in the future, good luck with it.
christian Posted January 4, 2014 Author Report Posted January 4, 2014 Thank you for your positive feed back every one, it wasnt much effort to do really, and the main thing is its back together after being covered over after it was painted for nearly 4 years. here is it where it sat at work covered over for all those years.
popeye Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 looks like it's coming along just fine...but don't finish it and lock it away...get out and about...good colour choice
christian Posted January 5, 2014 Author Report Posted January 5, 2014 Nothings happened to the mk2 or the mk1, picture was only took 3 weeks ago. looks the same but without the mk4 there. 1
