just before christmas 1982, i smashed up my mg1300;

was without a motor for a few weeks,

then my brother in law heard of a friends mk1 cortina for sale in portsmouth,

they went to see it & bought it for £300 & drove it home for me,

the first time i saw it was when they pulled up outside my mums place,

fell in love with it & had it ever since

got fed up with lying underneath fiat pandas, thought i might aswelll spend my time learning to fix something i love. Saw the mk2 1.3 79 ghia on the bay 3 years ago, got the final bid of 410 notes 10 notes over budget!! Soon as i saw it i knew noone else was going to own it, she's a rolling resto at the minute but makes me smile every journey.
