Yes, the 4spd Pinto "Rocket"/Type E 'box fitted to the RS2000 has the same maincase as the Type 9. Please correct me if I'm wrong though!

Yep your bang on mate this is used on rs2000's and for type 9 conversions as the alloy bellhousing fits the gearbox tunnel nicely so no need for tunnel mods and it is alot lighter than the cast iron bellhousing.
