Admin Vista Posted March 25, 2014 Admin Report Posted March 25, 2014 Have you checked whether your rad fan is coming on?
deadly456 Posted March 25, 2014 Author Report Posted March 25, 2014 ye its coming on,thought fan was not runnig fast enough so i bought a kenlowe copy. Does your car cool ok ????
lemansmk1 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Thermostat problem? Also have you heard of Evans waterless coolant? 1
Admin Vista Posted March 25, 2014 Admin Report Posted March 25, 2014 ye its coming on,thought fan was not runnig fast enough so i bought a kenlowe copy. Does your car cool ok ???? Yes, mine cools fine. It may be that your radiator is fouled and hasn't the cooling capacity for the reduced airflow that the fan gives when compared to the airflow as you're driving. Thermostat is another obvious check.
silverstreak Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 run it without thermostat it will keep cool
Admin Vista Posted March 25, 2014 Admin Report Posted March 25, 2014 run it without thermostat it will keep cool Never a good idea, find and fix the problem rather than masking it.
deadly456 Posted March 26, 2014 Author Report Posted March 26, 2014 water pump is new, thermastat is new but i will check it.You might be right Vista as the water in the rad is proper brown, ill flush it and check thermostat. Thanks
