changing clocks

Just purchased a 1.3gl which does not have a rev counter, I got a set of ghia clocks off Ebay

and have fitted them I know I have to wire the rev counter to the coil but the temp  and

petrol gauge are not working as well as the lights in the clocks when the head lights are on??

have I got a dud set of clocks or is there a simple fix? bad earth?

the battery light is working as well as the oil and indicators?

You're talking about an Escort right? You need to change all the wiring connections, they aren't plug and play. Have a look in the "how to" room and there's a guide to rewiring mk2 Escort clocks.

I have printed these off dal how to do it, done it with mine as it was a GL before, pukka guide.
