I seen one of these for sale on ebay  the other day i'm sure it was in capri parts for sale sec.

Is'nt the same as a rocket box?if so just went on there and found one with 50 mins to go.type in ford capri gearbox

no mate the one I need looks like a lotus Cortina gearbox but thanks for looking

I've got a three rail one I'll be selling once I've fitted the gearstick and counted the ratios. It's on a cable clutch so unlikely to be Lotus Cortina/Mexico originally but may be of use to you?

Rocket was the RS2000 4spd based box, the competiton 2000Es were called Bullet boxes I think.

I've fitted the gearstick and counted the ratios, 1st gear is approx 3:1 and 2nd gear is approx 2:1 which would make it a semi close ratio box (2.97:1 and 2.01:1). According to google these were fitted to Cortina GT, Cortina 1600E, Lotus Cortina MK1 (late), Lotus Cortina MK2, Capri 1600GT, Capri 2.0 V4, Escort T/C, Escort Mexico OHV, and Escort RS1600.

I'm open to offers on the 'box so drop me a PM and we'll take it from there.
