CortinaLover1971 Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 Wow just looked at the prices of Powerflex almost £300 for a full set, they better make the car handle and feel better for that price!
SmokeEm Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 That's not a full set - IIRC, I had to have some SuperFlex ones too at £100 or so as Powerflex didn't do them. Paul might remember which

DT36 Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 Update on my epic fail yesterday... Missus went to gym tonight tonight, so I went back in for round 2. For some reason I was wondering if the original bolt was causing the problem, so I decided to fit it to the bush for the TCA on the other side. That's when I had my Dime Bar moment. Yes, soft on the outside, crunchy on the inside. The new bush inner sleeve is a smaller diameter... 20 mins later with a new bolt cut to length and tidied up with a die nut, the bolt slid in perfect and wheel back on.
warrenk Posted July 7, 2014 Report Posted July 7, 2014 Guys, I distribute Polyurethane bushes in 90 shore here in South Africa. I thought of putting them on eBay as it would come in a lot cheaper than the polyurethane bushes you get in the UK. I'm a but terrified of the whole eBay thing as I've never listed anything before but I'm going to take that step now in this week hopefully. Just waiting for my blue and black kit to be cast before I can do that. I've been struggling to find pricing on the UK kits (found them now in this thread) but my kits should come in at around £105 including postage at the current exchange rate. Mainly only Mk2 Escort with the rear stabilizer bar and 22mm front stabilizer bar, 19mm is available though. Now as you say, you get what you pay for.. The kits I distribute are made here and to keep costs down (as it is already quite pricey here), we re-use the old inner and outer sleeves of the shackle bushes and front spring eye bushes in the leaf springs as well as the the inner sleeves of the outer lower control arm bush where the stabilizer bar goes through. The inner control arm bush comes with a new sleeve. 1
