The meet in Essex for all Classic/Retro Fords!

Please, please, please be careful with the driving in, out and on the road when leaving the pub, the landlord has had neighbours complaining and it will shut this meet down if it happens again.

I'm all for an engine on full chat but there's a time and place for it, at the end of the day it's my name on this so I get all the grief every time it happens, cheers.

I am the first to admit that I leave a bit lively, but was not at this meet and will take on board that we will loose this meeting if we don't behave. would be such a shame to loose this after all the hard work Paul put into seting up this venue. Voted best classic ford meet 2013.

Let's not loose it.

It's not just a case of loosing the Eagle if it happens again either. Pub landlords talk to each other. If it continues it could kill the Essex meet completely, and potentially damage the osf name at other meets.

Also i think i shows massive disrespect to Paul and the other osf members that have taken the time and effort to sort out a meet. As Paul says above, it's HIS name they have, its no fair he should get it in the neck for others that can't behave responsibly.

Well said Frank / Mike. I'll be there as usual, hopefully in the mk2 this time :)

Maybe we should get a sign made up to put at the exit? Just in case people come along that don't read the forums and haven't understood the need to leave quietly?

+ 1 on driving ettiquete when leaving.

Darren (Posse) had a number of visits from the Police over people leaving Boxhill "in a hurry" that's principally why we don't have regular organised and publicised meets there anymore.

Everyone has a little go out of the car park, that's what happens at these things but when it's gone past 9/10pm it's proper quiet round there and you can here a pin drop.

no offence to anyone! an i have only visited twice and didn't realise that this is how it is!! just as food for thought to anyone interested, the DICK TURPIN on the A127 between basildon an rayleigh turn off, have modified car/hotrods an bike meets every tue/wed without any issues!! big car park an bbq, this could be an alternative for all? and the guys that do like redlines and tyre smoke''

The halfway house and dick Turpin are on the A127 so noise is not really a problem there, hence why everyone meets up there for different meets etc for years.

The eagle is in a quiet village so redlines and tyre smoke doesn't go down to well with the locals as you could understand.

Like I said, I'm sure most will agree with me when I say that I love an old ford on the limiter leaving 11's on the Tarmac but this pub and locals don't like that at 10 half 10 at night especially those with small children and when the complaints come in all they have is my name to go on so I get all of the grief about it after.

Everyone's welcome as always but I'm just asking for unnecessary noise and leaving 11's to be toned down abit then everyone's happy.

Cheers.

I tried getting there. M25 was stationary from the tunnel back to junction 4. :( after 35 mins of moving about 200feet I came off and went back home. Have a good one chaps. I'll try again next time!
