I was using 45dcoes on my x flow now I'm swapping them for 48s previously I was using the misab cup washers and had no issues

 

 

But these don't seem to fit on my 48s I'm guessing the carb bodies are bigger ?

 

 

 

Any ideas on what to use? Maybe thackery washers??

Yes Tom. The bodies are physically bigger so thackary washers are the way to go, they're a lot narrower. And even though they're not 'supposed' to come loose, a bit of threadlock wouldn't hurt

Nice one, thanks mate I thought that might be the case! Thackery washers 243 loctite and some new k nuts should do the trick

I still use these on my 50's you just grind a flat edge on the metal cups so they slide on against the carb

had the same issue with my 48's but I found the soloution weber do a special stud which are 5/16 one end and 1/4" the other. I got mine from eurocarb
