Find MK 1 Escort ,DGH130H, Electric Blue, 1970, 2 door

Looking for ,or info on DGH 130H Mk1 Escort, I restored this car in 1986, but very reluctantly had to sell in 1987 after Divorce and needed the cash.

Last year I was Diagnosed with a terminal illness, so the'' Bucket list before I go '' has started.

First on the list is to see my old Escort as I never got to Enjoy the Feeling of an Old skool car.

I can provide previous ownership details, and willing for my details to be passed on.

Any info appreciated.

Car was sold in Ashford, Kingston area.

DVLA say its not been taxed since 1991,

Good luck mate, sadly the fact it hasn't been taxed in so long could mean it's been scraped, but fingers crossed for you it hasn't

Its still on DVLA Records  as a going concern , but not taxed since 1991, so could be sitting in a barn. or in the garage .

When I sold her there was 3000 miles on the clock, and everything was new.

Was it a base model or something special like an RS, mex etc? If the later it might be worth getting in touch with the AVO club mate.

No just a bog standard 1300e, had 120,00 on the clock when I bought it, spent 4 years doing full body rebuild, New 1600 engine and gearbox(daganham clearout auction) . The guy that I sold it to put in the 1993 cc lump. but lost his address, would have been in the Surrey area .

Very sorry to hear about your illness.  As it was a 1300E it may be worth contacting the '1300E Owners Club' they may hold some info on it.
