Why is the magazine always one month in advance ? .It does make sense to take out a subscription but i am getting fed up with Orions,MK3 Escorts and newer ones,Fiestas and Sierras appearing each month.I realise there are other people who like these models but they are not for me.

To answer your questions in order:

 

The cover date on consumer magazines is always one calendar month ahead of the month it publishes. It has always been like this. Why, I don't know but it's probably a marketing tool.

 

Fords from the 1980s, which are at least 25 years old, are very much part of the Classic Ford stable.

I dont' think it's not about how old the car is, but the timeless design/style of the 1960s & 1970s cars and that's stuck in time - a 1970s Escort, Cortina, Capri, Granada, Transit - I'd be happy with any of them. Conversely, the Mondeo will be 25 years old in 2017, but that doesn't make it a classic.

I'd like to see more later Escorts and Sierras in there myself (I don't think the Fiesta needs to argue it's case anymore)

(I'm not ready for Mondeo articles though - except maybe the touring cars, they were pretty awesome)

There's only so many mk2 escorts I think the mag does a good job would love to see some of the old shoot out style features I appreciate they probably cost a fortune and all the health and safety the round ones.. That ruins most things these days makes them a bit hard to do. and more v8s can't have enough v8 s but that's just personal preference .

We would love to do some more shootouts again - unfortunately, at the moment we just can't get the right insurance cover for these sort of events.

I would be happy to see more custom/hot rod/modified type cars rather than modern stuff .There could be more coverage of historic oval racers rather than classic escort dominated rallying .Just a thought .
