GJUK Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 Hi, I have recently removed this from my car, it's about 18 months -2 years old. Had it fitted for a while and the car ran okay, on the rolling road it was reported that the sierra mod might be faulty, I have got a spare one of these which I will include (so there are two in the kit) The dizzy was bought from bestek, for a 2.0 pinto with cam, weber 45's and a ported head. Looking for £75 with all the bits posted. 1
Danish Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 The dizzy was bought from bestek, for a 2.0 pinto with cam, weber 45's and a ported head. Just so I'm clear - the dizzie started life as a standard Sierra type dizzie and has been modified for the engine you mention? I'm interested, but my engine isn't quite the same spec - 2.1 with high-torque FR30 cam, single weber 45 and ported head. :-s
GJUK Posted January 1, 2015 Author Report Posted January 1, 2015 I had an FR32 cam in my 2.0, It was set up with a 'fast road' curve on the dizzy, bit better than out of the box but no where near full race. The dizzy was a standard sierra yes, then Bestek block off the vaccum port, change the weights inside and map it to suit the engine.
Lightweightsteve Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 Is the new part something that I could fit easily myself or would it have to go back to bestek ? Cheers, Steve
GJUK Posted January 12, 2015 Author Report Posted January 12, 2015 Hi, Sorry not seen this for a while. You could fit it yourself, I did. Articles online to do so. Was going to list on eBay and will when I get around to it. J
