  1. Could be wrong, but I think that it's local to us down yer in Devon - saw it at one of the club stands at Powderham. It was piloted by a lady with a couple of nippers and was great to see it being used.
  2. I'll be on the Exeter Mini club (and friends) stand, but will join you for a beer tomorrow night!
  3. Minilite is a brand (original wheels) and JBW's minilights (different spelling, cheeky beggers) are copies and are generally purchased by tight-arses like me! As far as I'm aware, you can still buy both. Superlights have more dish.
  4. I got given the whole day package for my 40 a few weeks ago. I went for the whole day in the RS2000. It was fairly eye watering, price-wise, at just under a grand, but in honesty, it was fabulous. Just me, the car and instructor all day - sole use of the track, so we had no restrictions and were in and out of the car all day - I drove so much that I ached like hell the next day! I've been driving for years and have done a lot of no limits circuit track days in some quick stuff, but very quickly learnt that I couldn't drive a rally car for s..t! By the end of the day, I think that I was doing ok - the instructor said 'in the top 2 or 3 % of newbies', so I was quite chuffed (even though he was probably flattering me!). If you do get the chance, grab it.
  5. Just phone Adrian Flux for a quote and was surprised by how helpful and knowledgable they were. I moved away from them a couple of years ago when they seemed to get expensive, but this time the quote (for a heavily modified MK1 Escort) was really good and, more importantly they don't require a written third party valuation, just some good photos. Normally I like to get a few quotes, but was impressed enough to take the insurance out straight away, in plenty of time got the car's first show of the year in Sunday! Cheers
  6. Get that all of the time with mine - I just say, nah, it's better than a Mex, but I liked the stickers!
  7. Looking great Mike - having just scraped three carrier bags worth of underseal of the bottom of mine, I feel your pain! Personally, I think that the zetec is a great choice.
  8. I have the seats and door cards from my car (Mk1 Escort) for sale. They are: Vinyl door cards - good condition, but have a minor dusting of overspray on some areas (not noticeable until really close). Original base spec vinyl 2 door rear seat squab and base. 2x fishnet recaros (not sure if they originated from an RS 2000 or Capri) that were retrimmed for the previous owner (at an eye watering cost!) in black vinyl to match the rest of cars interior - very good condition, but are missing the small knobs that enable the seats to fold forward (they operate perfectly, but just have no knobs) and one of the hinge covers. Looking for £500 for the lot and will pack if you can arrange your own courier, but would prefer collection. Cheers, Steve
  9. Saw that article and initially thought that it was a wind up, then I realised that we live in Devon and that it was major news !
  10. Fantasia Capri - holy cow, stop the thread now; it can't possibly get worse than that.
  11. I really want to love that car. Unfortunately, it makes me feel rather sick!
  12. Welcome mate, if you do receive a kick up the jacksie, send it my way as well!
  13. Love an E30, it looks great - I have a friend (who rebuilt my engine), who specialises in putting E36 M3 engines in them - he's even supercharged one. Nice transition from RWD Ford.
