Dom Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Right i've got me 2.25 coilovers, the threaded tubes are shot so i've got some new ones to weld on. Thing i've noticed is that most peoples have the tubes welded a good inch or more down from the top of the strut body whereas whoever did mine has done them more or less level with the top. How far down should they be? Has anyone got an pictures of their ones?
Wessie Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 mine are level to the top, but on turbosport they recommend welding them 2 inches from the top, it depends what size threaded tube your using aswell

Dom Posted February 19, 2007 Author Report Posted February 19, 2007 Well knowing me it's inevitably going to be pretty hard, short springs. I'll settle for solid handling over a comfy ride anyday. Plus I want the car really low, even though i've heard that it can have adverse effects on capris if lowered too much.
