In my experience they've just required some specific photos and they agree what value I give them....no professional valuation required

Same here. They agreed on my pictures and what I 'guesstimated'. After all my work is complete on mine I'm going to try a value of £15k and see what they say!

 

Just look at eBay and other classifieds and see what similar spec cars are going for and use that as a base. You can always haggle a bit if need be!

We have done in the past. Ask your insurance company if they require a valuation or if they will just accept your photos
