seaneylad Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Morning thought id ask for some advice, my local planning wont talk to me unless i cough up some ££ (they know charge for all advice and pre planning advice)My neighbour is a little hard work so want to make sure im okay before i start. i want to fit a 5 or 6 foot fence up and gates on my drive before i bring pop and escort up so they are secure. The pic is below? am i right thinking in allowed up to a max of 2m on the side (boundary wall) on my corner plot? possibly only allowed smaller gates tho like 3 foot due to it being on a public foot way?I dont have to stick with a max of 3 foot down the side do i?Cheers Sean
katana Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 You are correct - allowed under permitted development with reduced ht. fronting the highway. Householder application for higher gates to front would likely also be approved looking at the hedge beside - worth a punt!
DT36 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 This is a decent site. http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/permission/
