xFlow camshaft - 1600GT, standard or uprated.

My mk2 Escort came with a hard to start and rough running engine.

 

The seller made all sorts of spec promises - big-valve head, steel crank, etc.

In the end, turns out is is all standard, except for a 264 cam and pistons with broken rings and lands.

 

I've got a good set of replacement pistons and the crank is perfect, so not all bad news.

However, the cam will be too high-lift for the standard piston cutouts, so I'm after something that will get me back on the road.

If it is a fast-road or similar cam, then that would be a bonus!

 

Anyone have anything suitable, please?
