rx8 gearbox mk2 escort

Just got a rx8 5 speed gearbox to go in my mk2 what are they like to fit in a standard 4 speed escort

I understand they are somewhat 'chunkier' than a 4 speed and a 5 speed T9 so metal bashing / alteration will be required. There is a thread on TS with lots of knowledge - guy produces the conversion plates for many tried engine combos - its a good read!
