Andy060172 Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Evening all, Looking for some help... Looking to put 4 Cibie lights onto my MK1 but getting a bit confused by some of the options... My understanding is that the top 2 were Cibie Super Oscars and the bottom were just Oscars...clearly the top ones driving light and bottom ones fog light...however at the classic show today I was told i would need to revers the reflectors on the fogs and so on....... Is this right Also can someone tell me which lights the mk1 escorts had on the back of the car please Thanks
ianb10 Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Its just a case of turning the whole light unit through 180 to mount it upside down so to speak. Hope that makes sense. As for the rear light, I take it you mean the rear mounted reverse light? One that was used was the Lucas WLR576 spot light. Hope this helps. 1
katana Posted November 12, 2016 Report Posted November 12, 2016 Can't just turn whole light through 180 degrees! Factory assembles all units as if mounted upright so if mounted inverted the lens / reflector needs to be turned to retain a beam pattern to the road and not the sky! Other than regular Ford lights at the rear i've added a 'Ring' Fog light above the bumper via a relay to gearbox switch - lots of light where you want it. 1
