English diff needed please, 3:54 perferd

As per title  i am in need of a diff for my 100e, running a st170 zetec with rx8 6 speed box on 13" rims, I have been told 3:54 is ideal but what else is out there please?

Not gonna try and talk you out of your choices but I believe the RX8 box has a lower first gear than a std Ford box and with 50 profile tyres will make first gear virtually redundant but 2nd will make a nice tall 'first'. A 3.89 diff wouldn't help this situation but if you like towing caravans then you'll be sorted LOL!

Good diff also 3.77 ,I bought a good 3.54 of g's escorts at Santa pod, classic ford show, he did have a  3.77 and a 3.89 for sale

hi, buy a 3.54, lets say you drive 70 with 4000 rpm's, with a 3.9, if you do that with a 3.77, you drive 70 with 3870 rpm's, do that with a 3.54

you drive with 3540 rpm's, the 3.77 is just as expensive as a 3.54, and it doesn't drive as good, cheers marcel
