mk1esc Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 would many peeps be interested in these if i can get my hands on them? im not sure how many or what price they will be but ive been told they will be good quality. its just a matter if this will happen or not. the wings will NOT be genuine Ford cheers
mk1mexico Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 There will be a huge interest if they are any good mate
105Nick Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Well depends, are they to the exact dimensions as genuine ones - I've got one genuine and one arch extension which I will be replacing at some point to even the score so as long as they come identical I'd be interested, whereas some repro Anglia wings aren't exact copies and notice if you replace one side. How much then?
minim4rt Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 mmm hotcakes sign me up. lol No realy id b interested in a pair.
johnny_h Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Expressed Steel Panels gave up making RS wings because of poor quality. They were pressing the RS flares using standard wings which made the metal around the arch very thin and stretched. How are yours being made?
minim4rt Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Any more info? I cuting front of mine off soon an would realy like a pair of these
mk1esc Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 ive got no more info on the wings as of yet, im sure if it will even happen but if it does i will be posting about them with pics & prices.....im not sure how they are being made but its probably similar to the way ford made them??????
Scott W Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 I looked at this a couple of years ago, I even contacted the people who made them for Ford, Ford forced them to scrap the tooling! My suggestion is that someone makes them in carbon fibre, or looks at manufacturing them in China or I have found a place in Turkey, but again it is the cost and the comunication barriers
