Looking for a capri 52" axle. After the debacle of the cortina axle which turned out to be 54" 'don't ask' I was going to try and get the width on RS2000 escort back end by using spacers and offset wheels. This is gonna cost me as much than to just put a capri axle on and use the wheels I have. So I am looking for a capril axle in the Yorkshire area. If anyone knows of one then let me know.

Cheers.

How'd you get on with those Callipers. Did they clean up OK?

Hi mate, they're still ongoing at the moment. I stripped them down and I've bought a new seal and piston kit for them. My mate has took them to work to bead blast them before rebuilding. I had a pair of caliper brackets delivered yesterday so it's all coming together, albiet sloooooowly, Lol, but I'm in no rush.

Cheers bud.

Hi,

Would a 50 inch MK1 Capri Atlas axle be a better fit and then no need for off set wheels etc-etc.

Regards.

Al.

Hi Al, That would only gain me about 1.5" extra as the rs axle is 48.5".

I want to get the wheels out nearly level with the tarmac arches for that euro look. From mine at the top to the black one.

Cheers.

Fozzy
