RUSTYPUP Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Since giving Mrs. Rustypup her 1600E for christmas, I have to confess to having been hogging it most of the time as my Tina is having a bit of a makeover (see projects and restos). Looks like she is now leaving her job and therefore leaving her company car and needs it back. Going to have to fix one of my babies pretty quick........ Don't know weather to: 1. Press on with Cortina flambe, loads left to do including steering brakes, plumbing and wiring (will probably be thirsty and not very practical) 2. Weld up the chassis on my truck and MOT it. (hopefully just a couple of weekends work) - Will be very thirsty and not very practical. 3. Rebuild the gearbox on my motorbike (not very appealing job) which is not very practical. 4. Get the pushbike out!!!
orionmojo Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 might be time to sell a few? i duno, if two are off the road and not very practical, sell them and buy a cheap runaround. you can get escorts and astras for pence at auction.
RUSTYPUP Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 might be time to sell a few? quote] Not sure I like your tone young man! Never had to resort to any kind of sensible transport yet and I'm not about to start!! Just think I'm going to have to do some hours to get my truck going, as although it is the thirstiest..... it is also the quickest to fix and I do love V8s!
orionmojo Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 well it was you that said they weren't practical. stop moaning and break out the mig then
johnny_h Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Get the truck on the road I have a practical 1300 crossflow I would swap for your V8 if you like.
RUSTYPUP Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 Don't think the 1300 would pull my truck up the drive!! Had a think all day- which really hurt. Decided to do a bit of shopping for Cortina parts tomorrow, but then get stuck into the truck.
louie bagel Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 even better tell the wife to stay where she is till you have finished everything
