shortie Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 When we had our opening night for our new club which has Retro Ford in its name coming from Bury (Suffolk) we asked your mag to come along and do an article about us, and yet we didn't even get an acknowledgement. On the plus side we did get a double page spread in the November issue of Classic Escort. And if i'm brutally honest here, i personally prefer Retro Ford mag as it is for the normal man/doris, not the people with endless wallets. Was a shame we didn't hear from you about our opening night, had a good turn out, and in April we are organising a car show of which we are hoping to gather 250+ cars. Thats my whinge over, just wanted to say my piece, i'll still keep reading though, even if it is through gritted teeth. Lee, Vice-chairman, Bury Retro Ford
shortie Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 from the chairman who was contacted. We are still a new club in Suffolk and cater for all Fords from 50's to 80's models, we meet once a month and a feature of us can be found in the november CLASSIC FORD. Would like to think that hopefully somewhere along the line we can feature in your magazine as well as CF?
Morley Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Definately I will get on and arrange coming up, really sorry for the mix up!
shortie Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 Would be nice to have the club appear in the only 2 mags that adorn my coffee table!!! Shame my car isn't done yet, don't quite reach "work in progress" status as yet as its on axle stands minus the rear beam, shocks etc etc.
