anglia58 Posted January 13, 2019 Report Posted January 13, 2019 hi, here in holland, the 4 doors all have the expanding foam in the wheel arch, but on both sides, it's the same with cars from belgium, it's don by ford, i don't know why they did that, maybe to make it stronger, when you need to fix the arch, you have to take it out, or it will started to burn when you are welding, cheers marcel 2
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted January 13, 2019 Moderator Report Posted January 13, 2019 Is it to help stop the salt rust for snow winter European cars possibly? 1
Ben Perry Posted January 13, 2019 Author Report Posted January 13, 2019 Thanks for replies yeh burns lovely haha I thought maby for fuel tank noise? As like I said it’s only been on tank side for me
stephens_xpack Posted January 14, 2019 Report Posted January 14, 2019 Maybe for strength. I have been told, but don't quote me on it, that even later on in RS Cosworth models, that Ford used expanding foam on certain parts of the shell to help strengthen certain areas? 1
