New Cibie Oscar covers

Anyone bought any of the new Cibie Oscar covers from rally design?

I just got some and boy are they a tight fit.

Cibie Oscar and Oscar+ covers always were a really tight fit. I don't know how fussy you are, we used to snip a slot in the tab at the bottom on the rally car ones.

On a nice car that the guys did't wont the snip we used to put them in hot water and fit.

Yes, I got some about 3-4 years ago. Still got them, and yes, they are a bit tight, but reassuringly, they're going to stay on.

Trick with them I found, is to make sure they are square to the chrome ring before pushing them on.

You could always try a bit of lubricant on the inside lip to make them a bit easier.

Cheers guys  Had some back in the day, but just didn't remember them being that tight.

That said I had a pair of super oscars nicked from outside the house in about 1979 😭, but maybe they were after the covers and the lights just came off with them
