Arched Escy Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Is there any way of painting a chrome bumper black?Cos the chrome bumpers on the Escort are ruining the appearance completely and I don't feel like forkin out €75 for a new one...
CéDriC Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 If you want it net, you must sand it to brass zone (normally chrome process use, brass, nickel, and finally chrome), put prepared the painting , sanding it with finer and finer grade of paper, and finaly paint it... Or if it's temporary until you get or bought new one, painted it directly..

I've you could bought some real car paint done at your choice, or bought can of black paint... and the primer to have a smooth surface finish....
