is it possable to fit a type nine box and pinto into a mk2 escort bolted together

 

and if so can it be done with the head on

 

and do you have to drop the xmember

From above it is possible. Just! You have to get the front of the car very high and put the engine in at a very steep angle, not a easy job. The easiest way is to get the car in the air, slide the engine in from below, and lower the car down on top of it. The x member will have to come off either way.

i just did it on my mk1 mate drop the cross member and diconnect the sterring column and jack up the car,,,no probs,,,,
