Hello there,

I’m Tjeerd from the Netherlands and I became a member because: 1. My daily driver is an OSF, 2. Like to learn more about about OSF’s in general and share all knowledge on OSF I have, 3. Looking for info on the 2.3 cologne/solex 35 EEIT combo.

My daily is a p7b 20m Turnier with a 2.3 v6. I have it for a year now and love it to bits.

My first car was a Taunus tc2 2-door with a 1.6 pinto and enjoyed it that much, that after that many old Fords followed. Had a Taunus tc1 and 3 tc2’s, a Capri mk2, a Granada mk1, 2 p7b, 2 Transits mk1. Also a scorpio, an Escort 55 and several Mondeo stations.

When got my current car I changed the Solex 35 EEIT for a Weber DGAS 38, because It had cold start issues. I thought a newer Weber must be better than an old Solex but I maybe wrong. Starting did not improve and I got a feeling that an down jetted 38 weber is not going to work proper on a 2.3 v6. I will be searching for info and answers on this forum, if someone can point me in the right direction its much appreciated.

thanks for now, and have a nice day 🥸

Tjeerd

Hi mate,

Welcome, nice wagon. Seen a few imports recently at car shows.

And those are rare today. A very nice car it was and still is. I remember our V6 20 M from the same time as in the picture. Although no wagon, but 4 door sedan.

I never forget the interrior smell ( as a kid crawling into the car  ) when my parents bought it in a village called Susteren a car dealer as named SAM ( South in Limburg )

Good ol'times man
