Mr.Sumo Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 twice in 2 days Yesterday coming round the M25 by the M3 split in the Granny , bloke in a Sprinter van tooting and giving it the thumbs up as he went past me ....then tonight on the way home , bloke in a Pug 405 toots me at the lights and says .. " now that is proper old skool m8 , love it " .
johnny_h Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 It was only a matter of time mate! Did you ever see that monster 600bhp Granny in Retro Ford mag?
Mr.Sumo Posted March 12, 2007 Author Report Posted March 12, 2007 It was only a matter of time mate! Did you ever see that monster 600bhp Granny in Retro Ford mag? And there was me thinking i would never be proper " old skool " ....just been proved wrong , and i hold my head in shame ( and embarresment ) ......and as for that 600bhp Granny.....
atomic punk Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 The mk2 granny is seriously underrated... Was looking at a 2.8 ghia x last night, lovely motor with more toys than Gamleys.... love em
walsh253 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 the old granny will be a rare old beast in a year or so, after the banger boys have killed them off, keep it safe
105Nick Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 I'd love a mk2, was thinking bout getting one as a daily driver but then the fuel consumption and insurance would take all the funding from the MK1, but it'd e more practical than the Anglia (well it'd allow me to go to bluewater in an evening rather than be a day trip out ). Some little knobhead lobbed an egg at me as he was driving the other way, but me being me wouldn't let it go much to the fear of my gf, so big j-turn and hammered across town after him, got on his bumper and thought 'crap, im in my mums corsa, what am i meant to do now?' see if i were in the anglia or me ol landy i coulda given a gentle nudge but these plastic bumper cars, well both of them would have imploded.
