if this car is standard you will have a plastic plate that is screwed onto the motor. there are numbers on this plate which is the amount of teeth on ya pinion gear. which would be 22 if i remember, it sounds like you have it in the 20 holes m8 if it makes sence.

either as already said or is the motor makin the noise if so u could have burnt out/ melted the conector brushes then u wont get rid of the noise!!!

if the motor has been stuck this is quite likely

11-01? you mean TT-01 i think.......

are you running the plastic prop as these have caused no end of problems on the tt o1, when it revs high the prop flexes and runs out of true, an upgrade alloy one is available for a few quid and along with bearings is well worth it.

failing that you say the engine (you mean motor) had siezed, are you sure it didnt pick up a small stone, the standard 540 are pretty tough reliable things but unfortunatly are not rebuildable, they also have bushings rather than bearings, to be honest you can pick up new ones for a fiver, ive got a box full of brand new 540s ive picked up in kits over the years.

You can have one, i also have tuned motors, 19 doubles, 15 doubles and a real evil 8 turn 33,000rpm one which is good for 80 mph in a tourer, but battery life is about 60 seconds.

as your motors knackered now is an excellent time to get a tamiya sport tuned in there, it will work fine with your ESC as you can go down to 21 turns. check out time tunnel models for the best prices.

im selling an FG marder at the moment, 26cc of brute tuned petrol powered muscle of you interested, its my old race car from last season and is under full rebuild and clean at the moment, im after 400 quid for it, comes with new mini shell and off/on road tyres.

Looking at time tunnel they seem to go on about turns? what amount of turns would i need for a standard tamiya tt-01? also what esc would be in it as if i upgrade the motor highly i need to upgrade the esc but what turn is the standard one?

standard unused motors are a fiver.....

you can use any amount of turns for a TT 01, the less the turns the faster the motor.

the standard silver can motors are 27 turn, but your ESC will handle any motors down to 21 turns, which is why tamiya brought out the sport tuned so you can use with standard esc...

and thyre motors, not engines

Ive got a TT01 somewhere i used for drifting. Twas great. Had adjustable susopension upgrade all round, Tamiya tuned motor ,ally prop and ABS tyres. I fitted a one way front diff but could never get it working properly so after that i got fed up. Ill have to dig it out again sometime.

Ive got a Carbon Yokomo M2 pro aswell with a 9 turn motor which was pretty quick. I was gonna race it but im too lazy so never did.

Ive raced everything from budget mardaves V12s, 1/10th ic/nitro, 1/8th rally cross (wasted 12 grand in one season doing that ) to FG 23cc eco trucks, largescale offroad unlimeted 26cc, Topsa 1/5th scale tourers and oval outlaws (marder based sprint cars).

still have my prized 1/5th scale capri 3100 sat on my ex race chassis but its too mint to race and cost me £1800 to build.

my largescale offroader undergoing a rebuild and now my sons old enough to use it under my supervision will probably get it ready to tear up some nature reserve on sundays somewhere.
