question on fitting a performance cam

..is it necessary to fit the followers and springs sold by piper/kent etc or is it ok not too.........don't know so thought I'd ask

spring rate will be greater, and follower new...

New followers should allways be used when fitting a new cam along with a good cam lube, as for the valve springs if your engine has done a few miles then replace them as well.
