  1. I agree 100% with all of this, and im only a youngun at 21 aswell. Also to me, Old Skool Fords have to be RWD. This is a great site and still will be weather theres 80s cars on here or not.
  2. Ok I desperately need some steering column bushes for my Mk1 Capri. It was an advisory on my MOT and they have got worse. I noticed Burton do nylon ones for Mk2 Escorts, what are the chances of these fitting? If not where else can I get them from? And is it a hard job to do, any tips? Thanks in advance people of OSFland

  4. any ideas what it was?
  5. have a peek inside your dizzy cap for anything obvious, cracks, broken contacts etc or swap it if you have a spare. Then inspect your spark plugs, you should be able to see from the plugs wich cylinder is missing aswel.
  6. Could be a knackered HT lead? Does the engine still run ok? not missing on a cylinder or anything?
  7. Think your getting muddled mate, he needs some this size... The ones i have and the ones you have linked to are a fair bit smaller, as is shown in my pics..
  8. is there room for the back part to fold forward once the door cards and arm rests etc are in place?

  12. Might have to get rid of mine, cant have people saying I have the same car as that dweeb.
  13. Anyone know anythin about them? Did they all have the Essex V6? Is there any difference between them and a 3 litre Capri engine? What gearbox and axle did they use? If i could get hold of one cheap, and wanted rip the motor out, freshen it up and fit it into my Capri, what other bits could i use off it? engine mounts, radiator, prop/gearbox/clutch/flywheel etc? any of those bits the same as Capri ones? Also, are there any differences in Mk1 capri shells? Gearbox tunnels the same? Gearstick hole in the same place etc? Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated

  17. Ok mate, just come in from the garage and seen this so went back out and dug out some chassis to spring shackle bushes off my old Mk2 Escort Estate, i presume all escort ones would be the same. Measurements are in mm by the way. So a bit too small for your needs i think, but theyre yours if you need em. I work in a scrap yard so ill keep an eye out for anything that might be suitable on any of the cars i work on.
