Fitted a zx6r pump today and it started! Its running a bit rough, do'es anyone know how the slides in the carbs work? mine only seem to open the middle two when revs are increased?

I have just fitted some kawasaki zx6r bike carbs to my escort. Does anyone know if i should run a bike fuel pump or a regulator on a regular pump? If so what pressure?
