  1. I think most people buy tickets a week or so before the show. I wouldn't stress about it, we've hardly sold any in the AVO club (which is normally the case at this stage). Those moaning emails are auto-generated I think.
  2. I'm in dialogue with them as my car shows as non-exempt on their checker thing. Replies are useless and take ages. They've asked to see a copy of my V5 now, and I'm hoping that will be the end of it. Not that it really matters, as all of the cameras have been cut down anyway 😉
  3. Shame it clashes with classic ford, I was going to give it a go this year but had already committed to classic ford. It is a nightmare trying to avoid date clashes, not much you can do really. Hopefully next year for me then.
  4. Being held on 10th July at Hatton Country World, Warwick, CV35 8XA Everyone welcome!
  5. Great pics, thanks for making the long trip. The red RS1600 you were parked next to has a very interesting history, it was the 'Mexico' in the original 'we brought it back' ads.
  6. The last drop of fuel coming out of my RS2000. Had to drain the tank to put it in my daughter's car so that she can get to work tomorrow, as there's no fuel to be bought anywhere. Crazy days.....
  7. I'll be there, and yes it is going ahead
  8. Here's mine
  9. Sorry to hear it's been cancelled. I know how much goes into organising these events, so a real shame. But congratulations to you Chris, some good news in these crap times.
  10. It's unfortunately clear now that AVO National Day will not be able to be held as planned in June. This is a huge disappointment in our big year, but there is no prospect of going ahead with it now on the planned date. We have booked a replacement date on 6th September with Hatton. It's our sincere hope that this will be achievable, and that the restrictions will have eased by then. Clearly though we can't guarantee that, but we will be working towards that date. Apologies to everyone for this, and we really hope that as many people as possible will be able to attend the new date in this important year for the club.
  11. Due to the current situation this event has unfortunately been cancelled, and will probably take place in 2021 instead.
  12. This is the information flyer from the organisers. If you need any other info then let me know. 2 fold flyer wcr50-final 2020.2.16.pdf
  13. A genuine RS1600 rotting in a field...
  14. I think the largest gathering of 'proper' old school Fords happens the following weekend at the Lakes Tour. Personally I'd rather save the petrol money for that.
  15. Thanks everyone. I think we've got about 15 cars from the AVO club + the above at the moment, so should be a good Ford turn out. Hopefully we can get to 30+ Fords by the time of the event. I will ask about camping and let you know. Cheers, Stewart
